HOW TO USE ACC®

ACC® gets to work fast to break down mucus and phlegm to help you feel yourself again.1-5

ACC 600 pack
  • Dissolve your ACC® 600 effervescent tablet in a glass of water and drink after a meal.1
  • Take ½ a tablet 2 x daily OR 1 whole tablet 1 x daily.1
  • ACC® 600 can be used by adults or children from the age of 14 years.1

ACC oral solution
  • Take your ACC® Oral Solution after meals, using a 5 ml medicine spoon or the 5 ml syringe.2
  • ACC® Oral Solution can be used by adults and children from the age of 2 years.2

5 ml (1 x spoonful or syringe) Oral Solution 2 to 3 x daily

Children 6 to 14 years

Did you know? ACC® includes the active ingredient acetylcysteine (uh-see-tuhl-si-steen), which breaks down thick and sticky mucus (in the nose and sinuses) and phlegm (in the lungs).1-6

Need-to-know info for using ACC®

 

You can get ACC® over the counter at your local pharmacy, without a doctor’s prescription.1-3,7

 

The effects of ACC® during pregnancy haven’t been established.1-3 Make sure you tell your healthcare provider if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.1-3

 

There are some types of medications that might interfere with ACC®.1-3 Be sure to let your healthcare provider know if you’re taking any other type of medication, including complementary or traditional medicines.1-3

  • Cough suppressants: You shouldn’t take ACC® with cough suppressants, because you need to be able to cough up the loosened phlegm.1-3
  • Antibiotics: Wait for 2 hours between taking antibiotics and taking ACC®.1-3

 

Note: Do not use ACC® continuously for more than 14 days without consulting a healthcare provider.1-3
